Technical Guide for Daily Connection

We recommend Freeconferencecall.com but there are other options below if you prefer another method.

Freeconferencecall.com

The best resource that we have found is Free Conference Calling.  Simply log on to  www.freeconferencecall.com  You will receive an immediate invitation to start a free account. (if it asks for a credit card number then you have clicked that you want a premium). You can even do video conferencing.  After signing up, you can choose to pay for "my one number" which is less than $4 per month and keeps your participants from having to enter a code.  For tutorials on how to use it go to https://www.freeconferencecall.com/support-center/en/us/categories/meetings

Zoom –

If you have joined us on Zoom then you should be pretty familiar with it and it is an easy way to connect with groups. It is FREE!   Zoom has a great list of tutorials for how to start and host a meeting here:

Facebook Messenger –

If you and your friends have facebook messenger it is very easy to do a group call on it.  Follow these step by step directions:

1. Open up the Messenger app.2. Pick the group you want to call or create one by searching for people in the top search bar.3.  Tap the phone icon on the top right.4.  Select who you want to leave out. For example, if you're planning a surprise birthday party, you may want to exclude the birthday girl or boy.5.  Hit call at the bottom right.

Conference calling on an Iphone:

How to start a conference call

1. Dial the first person and wait for the call to connect.2. Tap add call .3. Dial the second person, and wait for the call to connect. 4. Tap merge calls .5. The two calls merge into a conference call. To add additional people, repeat steps 2-4. If you don’t see the option to add another call, you might have reached the limit of participants for your carrier.

NOTE:  Only the person who started the conference call can see the names of all participants. But if a participant adds someone else, they can see the name of the person they added and the person who started the conference call.

If you don't see the merge call option, your carrier might not support it. Contact your carrier for more information about conference calling.
